Very friendly service and the food was good! We got the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken with garlic naan. Will come back here again.

We have been here multiple times and it is our favorite Indian restaurant nearby us and we have tried many in the area. The food is always amazing, the staff/customer service is very sweet and accommodating.

We were just visiting the area and I found this gem. As I walked in I noticed clean and organized. The gentleman at the front counter was very welcoming. He also waited on us and made sure we were taken care of. The food was delicious and was just the right portion size. I will definitely be back! Thank You

Ordered from the catering menu for a company team event- it was a hit! We ordered a bunch of different items, and we enjoyed all of them. The online site to order didn't have spice level options, but they called us beforehand to confirm what spice levels we wanted. We made some last-minute adjustments to our order and they were very accommodating as well. Especially considering the price point, this place is awesome.

This place is truly a hidden gem. The food was incredible with decent portion sizes (so a good vault) and the attentive staff made for a fabulous dining experience. We will be back

Delicious and never disappoints! The proprietors are kind and always welcoming! The ambiance is fresh and comfortable. Love coming back again and again.

Lunchtime crowds at Subway and McDonald's in this plaza can make parking a challenge, but the food at Ashoka is definitely worth navigating the tiny lot for. Delicious Indian food, served by a wonderful and welcoming family. We had wonderful aloo matter, bengan bertha, butter chicken, bhatura, rice and the bread basket. Everything wowed, and I will definitely be back to try more of their impressive dishes.

I had a craving for Indian food so I decided to check out this spot in Pleasanton off of Stanley blvd and Bernal Ave. When I walked in, there was one person waiting for an order. I think the owner was in the back getting food. She then came out and asked what I wanted to order. I told her I'd be dining in so she grabbed a plate and utensils and gave me a menu. I was the only one dining at the time but later on more people came in. It looks like they had their regulars who would order for pickup and I think that's always a good sign. I ordered what I usually get at any Indian restaurant which is chicken tikka masala, naan and rice. She suggested the samosas so I had to order it. These did not disappoint! There were hot, flakey crust and inside was so flavorful of spices, veggies, potatoes and lentils. They paired very well with the sauces which were mint and a tamarind sauce. She suggested to mix them together and wow I loved it! Next came my main. They give good portions as I could not finish it all. It was your typical chicken tikka masala, I appreciated a little sweetness to it and of course the rice and naan complimented it just fine. I was plenty full to finish so I ended up having leftovers. I will definitely come back as the service was excellent, she is super nice and food came out pretty fast considering they had lots of to go orders. I'd go for the garlic naan next time and probably try their others dishes.

Will post once we've tried the food. It smells amazing as it cooking. We took our normal order to guage how they compare to our previous local Indian food. We ordered medium spice for our taste. We showed up within a few minutes when they opened. So the service was good. I did notice that today I was the 6th order and it's only 5:20 pm. All the others were Grubhub or DoorDash. We took ours to go and as I drove home I was having smell anticipation. I took a picture of all of the food we had ordered. I was very happy with the value of our food. Both the butter chicken and pawn vindaloo were on point. The tandoori chicken was full of flavor and moist. We will be coming back again to try some our other favorites. Goat and lamb options will be on our future orders. Nicely done!!
